An independent publisher of philosophy, scholarship, essays, literary fiction, and all types of learning.

Anthracite provides the editorial, production, and publishing infrastructure for books developed within MDS Works and, over time, work by authors beyond the company’s founder.

Owned by MDS Works LLC. Publisher of the Aevitas philosophy book series; distinct from the Aevitas philosophy system and from The Living Ethos.

Media & content platform

The Living Ethos

A public media and content platform applying philosophical ideas to everyday life.

The Living Ethos is the public editorial and transmission layer for essays, commentary, and practical engagement generated from the ideas and concepts of the Aevitas philosophy system and the site’s authors. It is designed specifically for accessibility and optimized for reach using modern tools.

Operated within MDS Works LLC. Editorially related to Aevitas while still a distinct public platform.

Philosophical system & series

Aevitas

A philosophical system concerned with agency, endurance, responsibility, and human action.

Aevitas is the intellectual system and book-series identity. Its ideas may appear in books, essays, and other formats, but it is neither the legal parent nor the publisher itself.

Relationship

Developed within MDS Works LLC; published in book form by Anthracite Publishing House and explored publicly through the articles its concepts inspire on The Living Ethos.

Future work

Room to develop without needless complexity.

New projects, platforms, or operating entities will be added only when their purpose and relationship to the existing work are clear, unique, and necessary. MDS Works is built to accommodate that growth without forcing every future effort into an existing structure.
